My mom and day are SUPER religious and think that dating is pointless, that you should have your first kiss on the alter, when you are getting married! I think that they are being extremely unreasonable. I asked if it was okay to date a Christian at age 16 and of course, they said no. what do you think. Is it okay?

I’m checking them out. I keep seeing this requirement; must place God first, before family and life. Are they looking for a preacher or a missionary? I’ve known a LOT of Christians, and they have to work. Work generates money, which is necessary. Work rules our lives, like it or not. I also see another popular cliche…totally sold out for Christ. Are there really normal working people out there that will forsake their family and job for God? Sorry I’m late boss, I got wrapped up in prayer…I am not trying to be disrespectful, but NORMAL people must take care of business first, and tend to God in their free moments. What say you?

My friend and I are thinking of launching a Christian dating site. So we came up with the name MustLoveJesus as in MustLoveJesus.com.

We got the idea from the movie called MustLoveDogs. So we think the Love of Jesus is important in any relationship.

Question by calibrater2002: How is a single christian supposed to act around a bunch of people pushing marriage?
This is something I’ve been thinking about. I’m 24, single and most of my friends are either married, engaged, or seriously dating someone.

I don’t feel ready to get married – not sure if I ever will be. But how do you deal with the sexual frustration of remaining single?

God wants us to remain pure, which seems easier to do if you just have to wait ‘x’ years. But how do you deal with it while believing you might be single your whole life?

My serious answer is, go ahead and have sex. What makes you think that a god, assuming it exists, cares? Some old book written by 2nd century ascetics and bronze aged goat herders?
